Kendra, originally from Methuen, MA, always knew that she wanted to be involved in the entertainment industry, but it wasn't until college that she found herself first stepping onto the path to a great career. "I knew that I wanted to be involved in entertainment somehow; whether it be an entertainment reporter, on TV or the radio.” - Kendra said during an interview for Inspirational Woman in Media in the Spring 2010 issue of Applaud Women Magazine.
During her senior year at UMASS Amherst she fulfilled an internship at the rock radio station Laser 99.3FM in Springfield, MA where she became the go to staff member for managing on air contests and voiceover work.
Although her career choice is different from those of the rest of her family, her parents were always very supportive of her. Everyone knew that Kendra wanted to reach people and give them fun and interesting things to watch and hear. She credits her official decision to pursue this career path to her TV production teacher Dave Shaheen, in high school. "He was the first person who made it seem like working in the media was an OK job to have."
After graduating from UMASS Amherst in 2005, Kendra worked at CBS/WBZ TV in Boston for two years as a production assistant on the morning news set. She was also in charge of organizing and running the teleprompter for all newscasts and productions like “The Phantom Gourmet” and “Jon Keller At Large.”
In 2007, she was hired by IHeartMedia Boston as the Executive Producer for KISS 108FM’s “Matty in the Morning” Show, where she was successful for nearly a decade in booking high profile celebrity guests, executing the popular “RIGHT NOW” call in segment, creating hilarious content and bringing both the radio station and morning show to the forefront of social media through her Facebook, Twitter and Instagram posts. During her tenure as Executive Producer, Kendra became the featured On Air guest host for FOX 25 Boston’s “American Idol” and “X-Factor” segments, lending her musical and pop culture expertise to the Boston viewers.
In 2016, Kendra decided to take her act, solo.
